THug Matrimony

Thug Matrimony by Wididah Clark is a thrilling novel filled with excitement and DRAMA! Clark did her thing writing the book. The characters and the story line in this book is the best I have heard in years. The two main characters, Angel and Kaylin run an up and coming record label, Game Over Records. Tasha, Angel's best friend is married to Kaylin's best friend Trae. Then you have Keneen, also known as Snake, Angel's ex fiancee. There are many other characters to make this story excellent as you read but I don't want to give the entire book away.
When the book begins Angel and Kaylin are getting ready to have a huge decked out wedding. Just as the ceremony is about to begin a surprise guest brings the whole wedding operation to a halt. Needless to say after all the the action took place including a shooting and a violent fist fight, the wedding was called off. Kaylin practically left Angel at the altar but not literally. There are many different story lines wrapped up in one so if it seems like I'm jumping around just stay with me. Trae, Tasha's husband, is in a coma due to an unfortunate accident. Carmen, Angel's little sister, is running wild and Angel is trying her hardest to keep her in line and to keep her from being eaten alive by the streets. Kaylin, Angel's husband, is looking for Snake to take him off the map. At the same time Angel and Kaylin are trying to get their hands on a hot rapper, Lil E to help their record label come up even more. And on top of all this Angel is pregnant.
I personally don't believe that this book specific has a message or lesson. It was just written to show the harsh and not so harsh reality of the streets, the music business, and just life in general. Life, death, birth and drama makes for a magnificent page turner I give this book 5 stomps.
