DARKNESS BEFORE DAWN

As a senior in high school, Keisha is going through a lot. She has just lost her boyfriend from suicide and a very close friend from drunk driving. She is hurting so bad but stays strong enough to get through her senior yeah. During this last semester of high school, Keisha meets a new friend and get closer to some old ones. They are all trying to make the best out of what’s left of their high school years since they all have been hit so hard with death in their community. Keisha on the other hand has more hardship on the way.
At the start of the semester she decides to join track and meets the new track coach. He is young and also very attractive. Keisha gets way too close to him and finds herself in a horrible position. She stops listening to what her parents say when she knows they are right and just wants to focus on being happy because she lacks so much happiness in her life. Keisha unfortunately finds out that this man she is getting close to is very dangerous and has to fight her way back into the real world. From these experiences she finds out more about herself and also learns that her friends and family will always be there for her despite her foolish decisions.
I give this book 4 stomps because it relates to many high school girls looking for attention and love in all of the wrong places. It also teaches a lot of good values and morals! Great book!

Tracy starts off talking about her childhood and all she endured as she grew into a young women .Tracy is an attractive girl who is motivated by the material world, she uses her good looks and her greed to her advantage .Tracy and her friends uses the young men who does anything just to be called their boyfriend. Tracy began picking up these bad habits from her best friend sister who will soon lead her on a disrupted path. Tracy begins to examine her life, her goals and her sexuality. She has to make the decision if being a Flyy Girl worth all the troubles of putting others down while lifting her up and if living this type of life style worth all the troubles that are coming her way.
