A Walk to Remember is one of the best books I have ever read. The main character in this story is Landon Carter. He is one of the popular guys at school who goes to school just to hang out with his friends. He took drama becuase he thought it would be an easy class his senior year.
But little did he know thar taking that class with a girl named Jamie Sullivan would change his life. Jamie was the preacher's daughter who no one really talked to and some people made fun of her. Jamie and Landon are the leads in the Christmas play together and Landon changes his mind about Jamie completely, to the point where he falls in love with her. But Landon finds out something tragic that no one can do anything to fix. How will he deal with this news?
To me this story means that you don't need to judge people if you don't know them. Landon and all of his friends didn't know Jamie but they made fun of her anyways. Once Landon started getting to know Jamie he realized maybe she was more like himself than he thought. This story shows that if you just get to know someone you might just grow to love them.
