Monster by Frank Peretti

Beck and Reed are going on a nature trip to the mountains. When they get there they are having a wonderful time and that night as they are sleeping, they start hearing noises in the woods. They hear a woman screaming and terrible stench, soon they find themselves running in the dark from a huge monster with green eyes. All of a sudden Beck falls and hits her head, the monster scoops her up and runs away. Reed is left to wait until morning to get help. Sing and Cap are another couple that were susposed to to meet Reed and Beck the next day. When they find Reed and he tells them the story they start a full on man hunt for Beck. As the search goes on Reed gets more and more convinced that the monster is a big foot, and more people are starting to think he's crazy. During this search for her, Beck is having to deal with living with Sasquatches and adapting to their life, while wondering if they'll ever let her free or just kill her. Cap and Sing start to agree with Reed that this monster wasn't a "bear" like everyone thought. They find samples of stool and hair left by a footprint, and Cap sneaks into his old University where he used to work to see what this monster really is. What will Cap find? and will Reed find Beck?
